It has been my experience that news of a sex crime (or sex offender) makes neighbors seethe more than any other act—even murder. Since there is such energy attached to these acts and these people, I refer readers to this post on Level III Sex Offenders from the excellent Minneapolis Crime Watch blog:
[T]here is now a Level III sex offender suing neighborhood activists for publicizing the information that is required to be disseminated every time a Level III sex offender moves into a neighborhood.

I was awakened yesterday morning by a knock on my door. It was about 9:30 am. By the time I got my wits about me, the knockers had moved on to the house next door. I could see them quite well from my front window.
I checked my door, and there was no literature left there. They did not appear to be security system salespeople, and were not well-dressed like the various evangelists that troll our neighborhoods.

Very disturbing video shows a group of Somali thugs attacking walkers and bikers for fun. They filmed each other doing it. Police think most happened in St. Paul, but some in Mpls.
Remember to keep aware of your surroundings while you are out walking or biking. Even after they catch these dopes.

The StarTribune has a story about a burglar suspected in over 150 incidents. From a note over the transom, I am told this fellow may have been involved in a couple big losses for the Northeast Lions Club.
The Lions fund the bulk of their charitable work from pull-tabs and other games in local bars. Over the past year or so, a few of the safes

Fox-9 TV reports an alleged rape in the Audubon Park neighborhood last Sunday:

The victim was walking down Tyler Street after 1 a.m. Sunday when she claims she was approached by Weston, who grabbed her shoulder and asked what she was doing.
She offered him a can of beer from her purse in hopes of appeasing him – then subsequently offered him her cell phone and purse. The suspect then made a sexually explicit and demanding remark. In response she struck him with the beer can and fled towards a home on Tyler Street.
He tackled her in a yard, and she kicked herself free momentarily. A struggle then ensued between the two on the front step of 3109 Tyler, breaking a handrail and window of the house.
