Impact Statements Requested for Burglary and Narcotics: David Bernier

The City attorney and 2nd Precinct are requesting Community Impact Statements (CIS) regarding David Bernier specifically, or burglary and/or narcotics generally. You can submit a CIS via e-mail to the 2nd Precinct at 2precinctimpact@ci.minneapolis.mn.us. The submission deadline is January 19th.

David Thomas Bernier Booking PhotoDavid Thomas Bernier (Date of Birth: 7/20/1973) is charged with 5th Degree Possession and Trespassing. On July 12, 2008, at the intersection of 16th Ave NE and University Ave NE, officers stopped David Thomas Bernier in his listed vehicle as he had an outstanding warrant. Bernier was taken into custody on his warrant. Officers located suspected methamphetamine in a pool cue holder right next to Bernier’s seat and one hitter drug pipe in the console in his vehicle. Bernier was booked at Hennepin County Jail for narcotics.

Second Incident: On January 7, 2009, at the 8x block of St. Anthony Parkway, David Thomas Bernier was arrested for possession of burglary tools after being found in a closed business with his car blacked out. He was booked at Hennepin County Jail.
